It grows in small groups or tufts on fallen logs
and stumps, especially of oak. 1 - 4.5 cms diameter. 3 - 9 cms long. Spring - Autumn Edibility doubtful and consumption best avoided. When picking any fungus for consumption,
caution should be exercised at all times.
