Grasslands
and conifer woodlands 2 - 5 cms. Yellow, orange to red cap . 4 - 10 cms long. July - November. Edible but not recommended. The Waxcap turns black when it is cut or bruised. When picking any fungus for consumption,
caution should be exercised at all times.
